  	Mrs. August Gallant - Dec 8, 1895 - Jan 16, 1959 Mrs. Amanda (Barthel) Gallant, 63, wife of August Gallant of 14 Marquette Street, died last night in the Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital after a short illness. The daughter of Napoleon and Matilda (Picard) Barthel, she was born in St. Pierre, Montmagnie, P.Q. Can. Dec. 8, 1895. Mrs. Gallant had been employed at Robillard's Pharmacy prior to her illness. She was a member of the Franco-Americaine Club and was serving her second term as its assistant secretary. Besided her husband she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Roger Belliveau of this city; a brother, Roger Barthel of Los Angeles, Calif; four sisters, Mrs. Eva Duteau and Mrs. Yvonne Rondeau of Gardner, Mrs. Bertha Donahue of Waltham and Mrs. Aldea Bujold of Fitchburg. Calling hours at the Dufault Funeral Home are tonight from 7 to 10 and tomorrow from 2 to 4. Funeral arrrangements are incomplete.
