The death of Louise Margaret Landry, age 82, of Amherst, wife of Ernest Landry, occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, surrounded by her loving family Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Hannah (Damery) Lines. A homemaker, she enjoyed her family and her home, was an excellent cook, knitter and was very clever at needle work. She enjoyed summers at the cottage and was happiest when all her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren were around. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish and CWL. Louise will be always remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 65 years, Ernest; daughters, Judy (Paul) Bourque and Linda (Terry) Rhindress; sons, Ernest (Ruth), Bill (Carolyn), Fred (Susan) and Stephen (Juliette); 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; a step-sister, Pearl Gould and a half-brother, Wayne (Lynn) Lines. She was predeceased by a step-sister, June and a half-brother, Fred Lines and step-mother, Lena. The remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (667-8777) from where visitation was held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass was celebrated at Holy Family Parish Church on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 10 a.m. Burial in the Parish Cemetery.
