  	Ruth Cran Bujold Richmond, Virginia LOCATION Richmond, Virginia Ruth Cran Bujold, 73, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Sears Manor, Brunswick, Georgia, after an extended illness. Ruth was born in Duluth, Minnesota, daughter of Nellie and Cecil Cran, who both preceded her in death. She graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth and received her college education from the University of Minnesota and Sacred Heart College in Belmont, North Carolina. Ruth earned her Masters in theology from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ruth made her home in Richmond for many years, moving to Glynn County, Georgia in 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph James Bujold; a beloved daughter, Leigh Ann Bujold; and by her siblings, Jim Cran and Marjorie Cran Skadsberg. She is survived by her son, Mark and his wife, Coco; her granddaughters Laurens and Margaret Bujold, all of St. Simons Island, Georgia; her sister, Joyce and husband, Ben Butters of Green Valley, Arizona; her sister, Marilyn and husband, Gordy Lundquist of Duluth and Sarasota, Florida; her brother, Jerry and wife, Beverly Cran of Duluth; and her brother David Cran of Richmond, Virginia. She was a member of the Church of the Epiphany and St. Luke's Church in Richmond, Virginia. A kind, compassionate and loving spirit, Ruth was a strong advocate for those in need. She was active in many social and community programs, serving on the Board of Directors for St. Francis Home and Meals on Wheels in Richmond. Ruth was active in support of education and tutoring and also had worked for the Refugee Program of Catholic Diocese of Richmond. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at a future date in Richmond, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the St. Francis Home, 2511 Wise Street, Richmond, Virginia 23225 or Alzheimer's of Glynn/Brunswick, 3213 Hampton Avenue, Brunswick, Georgia 31520. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Brunswick, Georgia, is in charge of the arrangements.
