- BUJOLD, Jackie (Velda) of Elliot Lake passed away peacefully on January 6th at her home, surrounded by family. She was born in Cascapedia, Quebec in 1929 and married Fred in 1951. They were blessed with seven children who are left to mourn. They are Lana (Stan Humphries), Shiela (Roland Dubois), Beth (Chuck Harrison), Valerie (Gerry Heroux), Brad (Glenda), Jerry (Arlene) and Candy (Stephen Rossetto). She also leaves behind many grandchildren: Gerri-Lee, Dawn, Debbie, Jason, Christine, Ricky, Bobby, Rhonda, Richard, Felicia, Nathan, Georgina, Sarah, Andre, Holly and Jack, along with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jackie was pre- deceased by her husband, her parents Elsie and Robert Gilker, her brother Clifford and her sister Elizabeth. Jackie also leaves her sisters Thelma, Jean and Shirley in mourning. Jackie dedicated her life to being a miner's wife and raising her large family. She loved travelling to see family, playing cards, bingo, her visits to the Casino and her dog Buddy. A memorial in Jackie's honor will be held later in the summer. The family requests that any donations be made to the Cancer Society or the charity of their choice
