- Madeleine Cook Bellehumeur Monday
The family announces with great sorrow her death on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Extendicare Timmins, at the age of 73.
Wife of Marcel Cook. Dear mother of Micheal Cook (Molly) and Melanie Bujold (Marcel) of Timmins. Loving grandmother of her precious granddaughter Brooke Bujold.
Madeleine is also survived by her siblings Marie-Paule Tremblay (Robert) of Timmins, Denis Bellehumeur (Louise) of Timmins and her youngest sister France Bellehumeur (Michel) of Gatineau, Quebec. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Lise Cook.
Madeleine will be dearly missed by many friends, nephews and nieces. She will especially be missed by her lifelong friend Sue Boissonneault.
She is predeceased by her mother Therese Bellehumeur and her father Aurel Bellehumeur.
The most important role Madeleine had was being “grandma” to her only granddaughter Brooke. They shared a very special bond whether it was celebrating milestones or moments of encouragement and love, her bond with her granddaughter was something she cherished above all.
She also enjoyed spending time at her cottage at Horwood Lake with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Timmins for their exceptional care and kindness provided to our mother and ourselves during a very difficult and emotional period for our family.
The funeral arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Alzheimer Society Timmins-Porcupine or Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated.
