Marchand Lawrence Joseph 87, Louisdale
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Lawrence Joseph Marchand on Friday April 14, 2006 at his home.
Born in Louisdale, he was the son of the late William and Evangeline ( Boudreau ) Marchand.
He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1941-1946 with Le Regiment de Joliette serving in Canada and overseas. He was an active member of St. Louis Parish.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years, Mary Amelia ( Landry ), daughter Annette Bujold ( Paul ) of Louisdale sons: Ben ( Jeanne ) , Larry ( Claudine ) both of Montreal, Vincent ( Ginette ) Toronto, Grandchildren: Daniel, Michel, Andre, Jean- Marc, Leanne, and Kevin Great Grandchildren; Steve, Tommy, Maggie, David, Kevin, Victor, and Justin
Brothers: Cornelius ( Jacqueline ), William ( Shirley ), Daniel ( Mary ) Sisters: Celina MacPhee, Theresa Boudreau ( Albany ), Priscille Samson ( Charlie ) all of Louisdale.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Yellowknife, Ft. McMurray, Toronto, Halifax and Louisdale, who knew him affectionately as 'Pepe " and " Mon oncle ".
He was predeceased by sisters: Maude DeCoste, Irene Boudreau and Catherine Gionet, Brothers: Anthony, Raymond and Leo in infancy.
Visitation will take place Monday April 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Glen Samson Room, Louisdale .
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Louis Church, Louisdale, with Re. Gary MacPherson officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale
Memorial donations can be made to: Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society, St.Louis Parish, or to a charity of choice.
