  	He and his family were among the Acadians deported by the English army during the grand dérangement of 1755 to Port Tobacco, in British colonial Maryland, aboard the Dolphin. He was counted on a list of Acadian detainees being freed by the Treaty of Paris on 7 July 1763 in Port Tobacco, Maryland.
