MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Leonce Trahan, the former Lilly Broussard, age 85, at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. Fr. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. A native of St. Martinville and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Trahan passed away at 11:50 am on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at St. Martinville Nursing Home. Mrs. Trahan is survived by her sister, Mrs. Cecil (Nellie) Faucheaux of Loreauville; three nephews, Greg Chastant and wife Pam; James Faucheaux, Jr. and wife Juliana and Warren Dupoy and wife Christine; four nieces, Claudette Berard and husband Mark; Gladys Lasseigne and husband Wayne; Ella Breaux and husband Roy and Angie Faucheaux. She is also survived by numerous great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonce Trahan; Parents, Ovignac and Ella Verret Broussard and two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Lorena) Dupoy and Mrs. Claude (Flo) Chastant.
