R. (dau. of Nicolas PICOU of St. John Baptist and Scholastique BOURGEOIS of St. James on Miss. R.) b. 11/10/1788 in New Orleans, d. 11/24/1852 in St. Martinville (Landry 1.3.8.5.1.3.2.2). We not know enough about this family. The 1820 census reports two adults, presumably Jean and his wife Marie; 3 male children (1 under 10, 2 between 10 & 15); 6 female children (3 under 10 and 3 age 10-15). Assuming that the children are all those of Jean and Marie: The male child under 10 would be Nicolas (#6); one male child 10-15 would be Jean (#1). The female children under 10 would be Euphrosine (#4), Uranie (#5), and Belsire (#7); two of the female children 10-15 would be Celine (#0) and Marguerite (#3). Possibly Adeline (#10) is the third female 10-15, but this seems unlikely. We are still missing one unknown boy age 10-15. Some researchers identify Adeline (#10), whose birth record is unknown, with Marie (#8), who was b. in 1822. It would make her 16 at the time of her first marriage, which is plausible. Adeline's death record states her birth to be about 1824; such statements are not necessarily very accurate. I have found no evidence either to support or to contradict this identity. If true, it implies an additional female child in the 1820 census record who is otherwise unknown. It is possible that the unknown children in the 1820 census were not the children of Jean and Marie. . . 0.   Marie Cailler et Felix Bijeaux Note that this 1870 census only works if you assume that Felix Bijeaux is really 20 Yrs old and not 2 and his mother is really 46 years old and not 36. Also note that this is the year in which Marie would have died. Was she visiting her brother with her son at the time of the census???? and is this really an error in the census information???? If you accept that the Census is correct this would mean there is another Marie Cailler who was 36 years old at the time (maybe a younger sister to Nicholas although there mother had her last child (found record) in 1824 which made Maria Pictou, the mother, 36 years old, it unlikely she had another child at 46 years old). If there is a second Marie Cailler what was her relationship with Nicholas Cailler and who is the father of her son Felix Bijeaux that was 2 years old. (In both cases we were unsuccessful in finding such individuals in our research that matches the names and birthdates in that period of time in Louisiana, which does not mean that they did not exist, just that we have not found them at this time).
