- CHERYL EICHELBERGER OBITUARY
Cheryl Bujol "Sherrie" "Omi" Eichelberger.
Goodbyes hurt the most when the story was not finished. Sherrie passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at her home in Port Allen, at the age of 69 after a short battle with cancer.
She was a lifelong resident of Port Allen. Sherrie was a devoted wife, loving mother and a doting Omi. She was an avid LSU baseball fan, liked being outdoors, exercising with friends and shopping. She especially enjoyed her time with James.
Everyone who met her knew she was full of life. Sherrie worked with the Baton Rouge General Health System for 28 years before retiring in 2018.
She was the glue that bound our family and we are all better people for having her in our lives. She will be missed greatly. Sherrie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Norman Dale "Ike" Eichelberger; two children and their spouses; Cori' Del Eichelberger Mendoza,(Richard Mendoza), Kerry Eichelberger (Sarah Carter Eichelberger); grandson, James Carter Eichelberger and sister Cindy Bujol Rollins. Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Rita Bujol.
