  	Helen Bujol Hale 1924-2019 Funeral services for Helen Bujol Hale of Austin, Texas, will be announced by Miguez Funeral Home at a later date. Helen has donated her body to medical science, as did her husband, Bunny. Her funeral and burial will be held when Baylor College of Medicine completes their study. Mrs. Hale died at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, in Austin, Texas. Helen was born Aug. 3, 1924, in Estherwood to Orrin Joseph “OJ” and Allie Mae Guidry Bujol. She married Edward Foster “Bunny’”Hale, Jr., in Lafayette on Dec. 28, 1944. She studied homemaking in college and she honed her skills raising six children and helping to raise two of her nine grandchildren. Helen and Bunny met while working at Southern Pacific Railroad together. Helen’s passion was gardening, which she enjoyed until she was no longer able. Helen was a fabulous woman with an open heart and an open mind. Helen was a huge giver, never expecting anything in return! She was an outstanding cook, and her dirty rice was unmatched. Survivors include her six children, all of Texas; sister, Mae Hebert of Lafayette; brother, James Bujol of Las Cruces, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Bunny” Hale, Jr.; her parents, Orrin Joseph “OJ” and Allie Mae Bujol; brothers, Warren Bujol and Donald “DO” Bujol; and sisters, Baby Evelyn Marie Bujol and Rose Bujol. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice. Published in Jennings Daily News October 18, 2019 Helen was born in Estherwood on Aug. 3, 1924, and completed her life journey on Oct. 10, 2019, at the age of 95. Helen was enrolled in the Baylor Willed Body Program and her participation helped further medical education and research. She was an amazing and generous woman! Helen loved fresh flowers, cooking, garage sales, traveling and day trips to the casino. She was funny and kind and will be dearly missed! Preceded in death were baby sister Evelyn Marie, brother Carrol (Chubby) Bujol, father Orrin J. (OJ) Bujol, mother Allie Guidry Bujol, brother Warren G. Bujol, sister Esther (Rose) Bujol and brother Donald (DO) Bujol. Sister Wilma (Mae) Hebert and Brother James Bujol also passed on since Helen departed. Helen lost her husband, Edward F. (Bunny) Hale, on Dec. 7, 2010. Helen’s service was held at Miquez Funeral Home in Jennings at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022. Helen was laid to rest following the service at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings near her parents and sisters Rose and Marie. You are gone but thank you for all the soft, sweet things you left behind. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a beautiful trail of memories.
