Obituary of Diane (Bujold) Belliveau
Passed away at her Home in the presence of family on March 18th, 2019 at the age of 66, Diane Mary Belliveau of Glen Levit, wife of Patrick Belliveau.
Born in Montreal on December 7th, 1952, daughter of Valmont Bujold and the late Ramona (Roherty) Bujold of Atholville.
She is survived by her husband Patrick, her son Ryan (Emilie) of Mann’s Mountain, her daughter Erin (Matt) of Calgary, AB, her brother Richard (Helen) of Fredericton, her brother Daniel (Paul) of Dallas, TX, one granddaughter Kinley, one grandson Jaxon, and two soon to be born grandsons Kaydon and Easton.
Diane began her nursing career at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in 1972 after graduating from the Saint John School of Nursing and completed her 41 year career as the Nurse Manager of the Ambulatory Care Department at the Campbellton Regional Hospital in 2013.
Visitation will be at Maher’s Funeral Home 33 Lansdowne St, Campbellton Wednesday, March 20th from 2PM – 4PM and 7PM – 9PM, and on Thursday morning from 9:30PM until time of Funeral.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 43 Andrew St., Campbellton, Thursday March 21st at 11:00 am. Donations can be made to the Tree of Hope or the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

If anyone ever cared, really cared for someone else it would have to be Diane Belliveau. She was a warm hearted and considerate individual and these wonderful traits came easily to her because she was such a sociable and good-natured person. She always made certain that those around her had whatever they needed.
Born in Montreal on December 7th, 1952, Diane was the daughter of Valmont and Ramona (Roherty) Bujold. Shortly before entering elementary school Diane, Valmont, and Romona relocated to Atholville, NB where she was raised with two younger brothers, Richard and Daniel. Diane was a faithful and loving person, on September 7, 1985, Diane married Patrick Belliveau at St.Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton, NB. Diane and Patrick were blessed with twins, son Ryan and daughter, Erin. They were also blessed with four grandchildren Jaxon, Kinley, Kaydon and Easton.
Her kindness and consideration radiated an ambience of warmth to those around her. Always known for wanting to help others, Diane chose Nursing as her career and in 1972 graduated from the Saint John school of Nursing. She began her nursing career at the age of 20 in Campbellton at the Soldier’s Memorial Hospital as an Intensive Care Nurse and completed her 41 year career in 2013 as the Nurse Manager of the Ambulatory Care Department at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Throughout her career she provided outstanding nursing care to literally thousands of people in the community and will be remembered by those who worked with her or who were the beneficiary of her care as a great nurse dedicated to her vocation, as being caring and sympathetic with her patients providing for their needs in a kind manner. Her keen interest in the things that affected the lives of other people led Diane to become actively involved in professional and community organizations through volunteer work. Throughout the later years Diane was an active member of the Glen Levit Community Center and St. Anthony’s parish and was someone that could be counted on for whatever needed to be done in the community’s support network. Being a key part of this close knit community brought joy in her life and is where Diane met some of her closest friends.
Diane enjoyed spending time working on various hobbies throughout her lifetime. She took a course in photography before she was married. She had a talent for knowing what would make a captivating picture. She won a prize for a candid shot of her twins as toddlers sitting in a lawn chair. Diane loved to host guests in her home. It brought her joy to decorate her home and have family and friends over for the holidays. As someone who loved entertaining, Diane loved to cook and enjoyed trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She was known for her lasagna, cheese ball, gumdrop cake, and fudge. Diane loved road trips with family and friends, especially her summer trips to Cape Cod where she would spend time with her brothers Rick and Dan and their spouses, Helen and Paul. In the later years when she had more time, she took an interest in gardening and could spend hours in her garden or at a garden center. She also enjoyed a good puzzle such as Sudoku and crosswords.
Diane died way too early in life. She was very strong and had a very strong faith, she didn’t complain as she fought a lengthy and courageous battle with her illness. What friends and family will remember her for most is the fact she was so compassionate and kind. Everyone whose life she touched will miss Diane.
