Charles "dit Charlitte" was the leader of the Acadian Colony that settled in Nepisiquit (Now Bathurst) following the end of Acadian exile around 1782, they came from Miscou Island, N. B. He was described as an old man... named Charlitte Doucet, who had four sons (Pierre "dit Pierrot" Doucet, Michel Doucet, Joseph Siffroi "dit Habitant" Doucet and Charles Doucet (Sr). BORN: He was born Abt. 1722 in Beaubassin, Cumberland, Nova Scotia (see notes below). SON OF: Francois Doucet (1692-1763) and Marie Anne Poirier (1694-1762) MARRIED: 10 Jan 1746 in Beaubassin, (Acadia), Nova Scotia. TIMELINE: (I will come back to add this. In the meantime, please check out the Maison Doucet-Hennessy House website for lots more information. Thank you.) GRAVE INFO: age ~90 years (Probably a guess by missionary/relatives) His birth year is most likely Abt. 1722, Charles Doucet "dit Charlitte" died in Nipisiquit (Bathurst) on 14 Sept 1798, aged around 76. However, the missionary recorded that he was "90 years old", or about 14 years older than his true age. Which would be before his parents married. So probably a guess by the missionary/relatives. | DOUCET, Charles dit Charlitte (I545)

776 | André James Bujold 10 may 1989 -1 December 2023 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of André at the age of 34 at St. Joseph's General Hospital in Elliot Lake. Born and raised in Elliot Lake, André chose to build a life in his hometown, where he was surrounded by friends and a large extended family. He had a wonderful sense of humour, was endlessly curious, and was always in motion. As a child, he loved dinosaurs and space exploration; he also enjoyed playing guitar, playing hockey, camping, skateboarding, snowboarding, and fishing. Despite the challenges he faced growing up as a busy child, André always had a kind heart. As an adult, André became an avid fisherman and a talented carpenter. He could often be found in deep conversation with others, and he loved to debate. André's canine companion, Gordie, was usually near his side. André followed in his grandfather's footsteps by working for several years as an underground miner; he later started his own business, and he always took pride in the projects he completed. André's last few years were difficult and often unsettled; he will nevertheless be missed by an extensive network of friends and family who loved him. He will forever be remembered for his generosity, loyalty, and helping nature. Predeceased by his father Jerry, André is survived by his mother Arlene, and his sister Sarah. André also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends. He had some very special friends whom he loved and depended on during his final time on earth. If you wish to make a charitable donation, please consider Larry's Place (men's shelter), the Canadian Mental Health Association, or a charity of your choice. There may be a celebration of Andre's life at a future date. | BUJOLD, André (I14547)
