Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Amelia (Gaudet) Landry. Agnes was a member of the Holy Family Parish. She was a strong supporter and member of the NDP Party. She was a former member of the Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Agnes is survived by daughters, Yvonne Henderson, Fort Francis, Ont.; Annette (Jim Wark) Zen, Thunder Bay, Ont.; Janice (John) Florek, Fort Francis, Ont.; sons, Kenneth, Toronto; Robert (Joan), Lindsay, Ont.; Richard (Patty), North Bay, Ont.; sisters, Rita Davison and Isabel "Bella" Tower, both of Amherst; brother, Ernest (Louise), Amherst; 21 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. She was predeceased by sister, Yvonne, and brothers, Louis, George, Edgar, Clarence, Fred, Meddie and Aurele. The remains have been entrusted into the care of Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst (667-8777). A funeral mass will be celebrated in the St. Charles site of Holy Family Parish on Monday, October 1 at 10 a.m., with cremation to follow. At Agnes' request, there will be no visitation. Burial will be in St. Charles - Nativity Parish Cemetery. She was the wife of the late Felix Bijeau. Born at Saint-Leonard-Parent in 1937, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Jean) Michaud. She is survived by two daughters, Anne (Richard Mallette) of Sainte-Martine, Quebec and Line (Gaetan Boulais) of Chateauguay, Quebec, four grandchildren, Maxime, Caroline, Francois and Marilyse, brother and sisters, Fidele Michaud (Annette) of Saint-Quentin, Claire Dube of Van Buren, Maine, Jeannette Morin, Edna Levesque (Enoil) and Edmay Tardif (Gerard) of Hartford, Connecticut, Robert (friend Hélène) of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Lucien Michaud (Aline) of Saint-Leonard and Patricia McGillan (Jimmy) of Fredericton, as well as nieces and nephews. She was born in Gardner, daughter of the late Napoleon and Mathilda (Picard) Barthel, and lived in Fithcburg most of her life. She was the wife of Thomas A Bujold, who died in 1971. Before retiring 14 year ago, Mrs. Bujold was employed by the former Comfort Slipper Co. and the former Moeckel Doll Clothing Shop, both of Fitchburg. She leave a son, Kenneth E. Bojold and a siter, Bertha M. Donahue, both of Fitchburg; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Following cremation, a memorial Mass will be celebrater at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Louis M. 691 | Alexis fut le premier membre de la famille Comeau à s'établir dans la région de Tracadie. Il est arrivé vers 1785 après de longs trajets qui l'emmenèrent de Rivière-aux-Canards (Grand Pré NS) en Acadie jusqu'au fleuve St-Laurent, au bas de la rivière St-Jean, à Miramichi, et finalement à Tracadie. Il est même possible qu'Alexis fut déporté à une des colonies de la Nouvelle-Angleterre. Alexis, un descendant de Pierre, est de la quatrième génération de Comeau au Canada. Selon Jean-Louis Comeau, son trajet est le suivant: Ste-Anne-de-la Pocatière en 1761 et 1765, Ekoupahog (sur la Rivière St-Jean) en 1767 et 1770, à Kénébécaissis en 1773 et 1774 et finalement établie à Tracadie (NB) vers 1785 suite à l'expulsion des français vivant sur les bords de la rivière Saint-Jean par les britanniques qui débuta en mai 1783. Enfants: Alexis aurait eu 6 enfants d'un premier lit (on n'en connait pas les noms). (Jean-Louis Comeau). 693 | Alfred Bijeaux, 82, passed away peacefully February 11, 2013. Mr. Bijeaux was born August 13, 1930 to the late Joseph and Emelda Bijeaux in Lafayette, Louisiana. He served our country in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 21 years of dedicated service. Alfred was devoted husband and father. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed. Left to cherish his memory is: three sons: Ira, Herman, and Tony Bijeaux; daughter, Missy Williams and husband Rob; seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Star, John, Justin, Joseph, Nicole and Rebecca; and numerous great- grandchildren and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years Betty Bijeaux. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. 695 | ALFRED ‘FRITZ’ BUJOLD 1932-1998 Monday, Oct 12, 1998 Fritz Bujold, 66, of Devlin, Ont., passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 1998 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances. He was born Aug. 31, 1932 in Fort Frances to the late Jean and Ella Bujold. Fritz moved to Miscampbell, Ont. with his family when he was five years of age. On August 3, 1955, he was united in marriage to the former Ethel Greensides. In 1956, Fritz and Ethel moved to Devlin, where they worked at Greensides General Store. Since 1973, they have owned and operated the store. Fritz was a faithful member of Guthrie United Church and church choir. He also was fire chief for the Devlin Fire Department for many years, and a member of the Devlin Community Club. He was predeceased by his sisters in infancy, Rita and Mary Bujold. Fritz is survived by his wife, Ethel Bujold of Devlin, Ont.; one daughter, Pam and husband, Murray Carlson, of Devlin, Ont.; five grandchildren, Joe Carlson and wife, Leona, Bobbi-Jo and husband, Dean Morken, Jason Carlson and wife, Kathleen, Jamie Carlson and best friend, Lindy, and Julia Carlson; and five great-grandchildren, Jade, Connor, Megan, Molly, and Blake, all of Devlin, Ont. He also is survived by one brother, Clarence “Buck” Bujold and wife, Gertie, of Miscampbell, Ont.; three sisters, Norma of Kamloops, B.C., Darlene and husband, Dave Hughes, of Fort Frances, Ont., and Joan and husband, Keith Van Dam, of Chilliwack, B.C.; and by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 16, 1998 at 1:30 p.m. at Guthrie United Church in Devlin. Rev. Frances Flook will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances. Friends may visit Thursday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Pallbearers will be Joe Carlson, Jason Carlson, Jamie Carlson, Dean Morken, Bill Forster, and Karl Zimmerman. Honourary pallbearers will be Dwaine Dawkins, Roy Aliff, Bill McLean, Jim Kellar, Norman Cain, Murnie Allan, Willie Cave, and Phil McCoy. Predeceased by his loving partner, Lorraine Erlindson (Dec. 2012). Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Virginie. Loving father of David Bujold (Lorrie Wilson) and the late Dennis Elder and Donald Bujold. Dear brother of Olivine, Celine Gaston, Rosaria, Jules, Marie, Paul, Bernard, their spouses and the late Noela, Edilbert and Liliane. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Pete will be lovingly remembered by his extended family, Len and Kate Guerin, Chris (Haeli), Tanya (Will), Adam (Heather), Kyle (Meagan), Matt (Amber) and their families. Pete was well known and loved by many working for the Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens and Peterborough Memorial Centre where he retired. 698 | Alice Bujold 1930 - 2023 Alice Bujold of Fitchburg died on January 20, 2023 at the River Terrace Nursing Home after a short illness. She was the daughter of Virginio and Anna (Tersinelli) Dori and was born in Leominster, MA on May 6th 1930. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Kenneth E. Bujold and three sons, Kevin and his wife Marian of Templeton, MA, Kenneth II and his wife Susan of Canton, CT, and Kris and his wife Edna of Seekonk, MA.; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Prior to her retirement in 1995 she worked for 30 years in the catalog department at the Fitchburg Public Library. Her funeral will be celebrated with at mass at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church on Saturday, February 4, 2023. A short service will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
