Raymond Martel, époux de Mme Cécile Bujold. C'est à Saint-Romuald, à proximité de Québec, que Raymond Martel démarra son parcours entrepreneurial, en fondant les Aliments. Martel en 1965. Sa détermination, sa volonté et son sens inné des affaires lui ont permis, au fil des années, de créer une entreprise chef-de-file dans le secteur agroalimentaire. Bâtisseur chevronné de l'industrie du prêt-à-manger au Québec, il était un homme d'affaires visionnaire et avant-gardiste, qui laisse maintenant derrière lui un héritage éternel dans l'univers entrepreneurial québécois. Autant par sa famille, ses amis et ses collègues, Raymond Martel a toujours été considéré comme un homme travaillant, honnête et fidèle à ses valeurs. She died on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Opelousas General Health System. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts in her spare time. Also she enjoyed crocheting and doing plastic canvas crafts. Survivors include her husband for thirty eight years, Clayton Pierre Faul of Port Barre; one son, Clayton Troy Faul and wife, Hannah of Ft. Worth, TX; two daughters: Lee Anna Duff of Port Barre; and Sandra Camille of Youngsville; ten grandchildren, sixteen great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. They raised Daisy's grandniece, Helen May Cable (1915-1987) as their own. Helen was the daughter of Clyde Alonzo Cable and Elizabeth Margaret Augenstein. Helen married first Clayton Dwight Osman 1910-1961; 2nd John Henry Crews 1902-1985. Daisy was loved by her immediate family. She always had at least one dog as a pet. She was a devout Roman Catholic and attended Saint James Church in the West End of Pittsburgh, where she lived. After her husband's death in 1929, she took in boarders. She took care of her niece's, Merle (Cable) Ritson, young children after their mother died in 1943 until her own death. Daisy died in the Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 4337 | MATHIEU MARTIN, tisserand, seigneur de Cobequid (Truro, N.-É.), né en 1636 ou 1637, fils de Pierre Martin et de Catherine Vigneau, mort célibataire avant avril 1724, probablement dans sa seigneurie. Tout en exerçant son métier de tisserand, Martin s’occupa des affaires des commerçants de pelleteries, tant à Port-Royal (Annapolis Royal, N.-É.) où il vivait avec son père qu’au bassin des Mines. Il est possible que ses excursions en haut de la baie Française (baie de Fundy) aient été pour quelque chose dans la concession qui lui fut faite de Cobequid en mars 1689 et qu’il nomma Saint-Mathieu. Il lui fallut surmonter certaines difficultés avec Mathieu de Goutin, qui réclamait Cobequid, voulant y établir un débit d’eau-de-vie pour la traite avec les Ameriendien. Clairvoyant et déterminé, Martin sut faire prospérer sa concession. S’étant occupé d’abord à préparer le terrain, il y reçut vers 1699 trois familles venues de Port-Royal. Quatre ans plus tard, en 1703, on y comptait 19 familles, et 23 en 1714. Quoique les recensements ne le mentionnent pas entre 1693 et 1714, alors qu’il se trouve à Port-Royal (1693) et à Cobequid (1714), Martin habita sans doute dans sa seigneurie dès l’arrivée de ses premiers tenanciers. C’est probablement là qu’il mourut. Plusieurs personnes se prétendirent ses héritiers, mais le conseil de la Nouvelle-Écosse décida que la seigneurie passerait à la couronne d’Angleterre. En 1732, le lieutenant-gouverneur Lawrence Armstrong, voulant mettre fin aux réclamations, stipula que l’on fît abstraction du testament de Mathieu Martin, parce que « sa vie durant il ne voulut jamais reconnaître ce gouvernement ». She made her home with a daughter, Mrs. August Gallant of 242 Parker Street. Born in St. Peirre, P. Q. she had lived in Gardner for 41 years. Five daughters; Mrs. Romeo Duteau, Mrs. August Gallant, Mrs Joseph Rondeau of Gardner, Mrs. Joseph Donahue of Boston and Mrs. Thomas Bujold of Fitchgurg; a son, Roger of Gardner; three brothers; Proculus, Albert and Fortunat of Levi, P. Q. and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Lynch of Lewiston; 18 grandchildren survive her. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 in Holy Rosary Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Her parents were Otto Simon (1833-1908) and Maria Barbara Kriker (1828-1903). They were from near Frankfurt, Germany - Friesenhausen, Fulda, Hesse-Kassel, Germany. They emigrated to Canada in Aug 1952 via New York (on "The Augustus" from Bremen, Germany). They lived in Troy for a few years, where Matilda was born, and then moved to Tipton, Cedar, Iowa, USA abt 1857, where her brother Wilhelm was born in Apr 1958. They ended up shortly after in Chippewa Falls, Chippewa, Wisconsin, USA and there they farmed and raised their children. Matilda was age 15 when she wed Louis Prudent Blair (1851-1934 -Find A Grave Memorial# 116526532) on 10 Jan 1871 in Chippewa Falls, Chippewa, Wisconsin, USA. Louis P. and Matilda moved to Thief River Falls, Red Lake, Wisconsin, USA in 1897 and then in the Spring of 1906 they moved with several of their children to Canada and took a homestead near Leask, Saskatchewan, Canada (around Kilwinning) on NW, Section 32, Township 46, Range 5, Meridian W3. They farmed there until she died in 1928. Louis P. went to live with his daughter in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - where he died on 9 Mar 1934. 4345 | Maurice J. Bugeau, 84, of Berlin NH, passed away on July 1, 2012, at his home, with family members at his side. He was born in Berlin on Aug. 30, 1927, the son of the late Felix and Rose (Boucher) Bugeau and was a lifelong resident. He was educated in Berlin Schools and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School with the class of 1947. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Maurice had been employed by the Brown Co. and James River Corp. as a Millwright for 39½ years, retiring in 1990. He also worked part time as a meat cutter for Blanchette Brothers and Morrissette's Market. He was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish and a former member of Union Local #75. Members of the family include his wife of 62 years. Doris A. (Blanchette) Bugeau of Berlin; sons Paul Bugeau and wife Louise of Lebanon OH, and Ronald Bugeau and wife Elaine of Berlin; daughters Louise Duval and husband Keith of Nashua NH. and Rachel Hufault and husband Jay of Wilmot NH; grandchildren Philip Bugeau and wife Julie, Nicole (Bugeau) Svenson and husband David, Kevin Bugeau, Amy Bugeau, Katie (Bugeau) Wight and husband Jake, Eric Duval, Emily Duval, Joel Hufault, and Leah Hufault; great-grandchild Soleil Wight; brothers Albert Bugeau of Londonderry NH, Normand Bugeau of Norwood MA, and Alfred Bugeau of Westwood MA; sisters Simonne Fortier, Lucille Bugeau, and Doris Boisselle, all of Berlin; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born in Warwick, England, he soon emigrated with his family. He was the only child of the late John M. and Mary K. (Fallon) Collins and grew up in Espanola, Ont. He obtained his BA in History and Philosophy from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ont., his MA in Philosophy from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont., was a Ph.D. candidate at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pa., and subsequently obtained his CMA. He was employed in several controller and management positions over a number of years with Irving Oil in Saint John, N.B. He also worked for Parrsboro Metal Fabricators in Parrsboro, Universal Drill Rigs in Miramichi, N.B., Farocan in Mulgrave, and was working for Annapolis Valley First Nation at the time of his death. His interests included collecting and reading books on many topics, sailing, skiing, biking, cooking, photography and chess. He is survived by his wife, E. Jean Gibson Collins; sons, Neil, Fredericton, N.B.; David, Saint John, N.B.; their mother, Susan Collins, Saint John, N.B.; stepsons, Ian Montgomerie, California; Scott Montgomerie, Halifax; stepdaughter, Karen Montgomerie, Korea. There are a number of surviving relatives in Canada, Ireland and England. His brilliant smile and courteous, thoughtful style will be sadly missed by all. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by his request. A funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father Craig Christenson officiating.
